Cat and Mouse
Garvin, Sheri. "Cat and Mouse." Behance. N.p., n.d. Web. 25 Jan. 2013.
Figure and Ground- The positive and negative spaces. Ground being the negative and figure being the positive.
If you look at only the negative space you can spot out a cat and looking at only the positive space we see mice, hence the name cat and mouse.

"Non Objective Hoopla." Nonobjective. Nimr0dsdaughter, n.d. Web. 22 Jan. 2013.
Nonobjective- Not a specific object or form that is recognizable.
Naturalism, Idealism, Distortion
Naturalism- Naturally looks like a refrence.
Idealism- A idea of what perfection is, enhanced version of naturalism
Distortion-An alteration of the natural shape.
"William Bliss Baker." Google Images. N.p., n.d. Web. 25 Jan. 2013.
This is an example of naturalism, just a painting of kids playing in hay.
"Belly Dancer in Sydney - Belly Dancing Ideas." Belly Dancer in Sydney - Belly Dancing Ideas. N.p., n.d. Web. 25 Jan. 2013.
This is a painting of Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of love and beauty. Being one of the most beautiful Goddesses, she is a good example for idealism.
Penny Arcade." Forums. N.p., n.d. Web. 23 Jan. 2013.
My example of distortion shows a goldfish stretched narrowly out of proportion.
